Aircrew Combat Equipment (ACE)
Mission
Provides the capabilities of the Personal Survival Gear Carrier (PSGC) and flexible body armor in a single vest, reducing the weight and bulk of the overall system.
Description
The ACE is a multiple-size modular vest worn by aircrew members that carries various types of survival gear.
Similar to the PSGC, it provides equipment stowage pouches that can be placed at different locations on the vest and has an integrated extraction, insertion, and crew retention harness. It has means for stowage of small arms and fragmentation protection and can be fitted with a flotation unit for water survivability protection when mission requirements dictate.
It is available in sizes extra-small, small, medium, large, and extra-large. ACE also includes upgraded holster and restraint tether system.
